My goal for this blog was to create a safe community for moms. I wanted to write about things I’ve learned, experienced, or gone through to be able to help even just one mom. But honestly? I don’t know what I’m doing most of the time.
I learn something new every day now. Whether it’s Ezri teaching me to look at things differently or finding a new “mom hack” or maybe just another life lesson from everything I’ve walked through up until this point. It’s that sweet revelation we all wait for to see if what we’ve gone through was worth so much hardship as mothers. But, I’d be wrong to ignore the journey that we take to get to that point of revelation.
A Journey of Transformation
It sounds beautiful, but it’s truly the moment that builds strength as mothers. The moment that will allow your true self to come through. As you embark on this journey, you’re accepting that your life is no longer just yours. You’re accepting a responsibility that’s not just for you now.
I asked some sweet mom friends of mine this question… “What’s the first thing that comes to your mind when I say ‘the journey’ as mothers?” I wanted to keep it very vague for a reason. Their responses were all similar and I couldn’t have worded it better myself. The moment you have your baby in your arms is a moment of transformation from a woman to a mother. After you see all of your hard work pay off by the joy now looking up at you in your arms, truly is your transformation complete.
The journey isn’t always the same. Every walk we take as mothers will be different then the next. And it should be different, because every mother isn’t the same. That’s what gives us the chance to all learn from each other and grow together.
I’m excited to take you along on my journey as a mother to see how I grow as my baby grows…
What’s your journey?
