I’ve been noticing a lot lately how it’s been hard for me to do things that were once part of my every day routine… cleaning, cooking, etc. I sat back and watched the pile of dishes get higher and higher. As much as I wanted to get things done, my motivation to do it was at an all time low… why though?
I was running around empty.
I couldn’t tell you the last time that I had done something for myself. With Ezri teething, all she wants is to be held so I was continually pushing my needs aside to help her. But after a while, it caught up with me.
I was tired of feeling tired.
So, I made a new goal for myself! I need to do something for myself every day. Even if it’s a small thing, like have 15 minutes of quiet time just by myself. It’s an absolute necessity. As mom’s it’s so easy to forget about ourselves when we are trying to meet others needs. We forget… our needs are important too.
I challenge you, what is one thing you can do for yourself every day?
